Is a workplace injury a rare occurrence?

Apparently not. A recent study by the National Safety Council reports an American worker is injured every seven seconds which amounts to 12,900 a day and 4.7 million a year.  This shows it is more important than ever to make sure your employer covers you with workers’ compensation insurance. For those who want to start their own business and not carry insurance, this report is a cautionary tale. If you are not covered, what will happen if you are injured?
